Edwards says no VP bid for him. So who could it be? Maybe Obama will work things out with Clinton… we’ll see.

From the way all of the articles about Edwards endorsing Obama have been written, and the way that Obama’s website already pictures very well put together, official looking pictures with the two of them together smiling, I am pretty certain we are seeing an Obama-Edwards ticket. Anyone hoping for Obama-Clinton… well, there’s a chance of it, but Obama said long ago it wouldn’t happen (though Clinton had said she would consider Clinton-Obama).

Edwards is out of the race for president, but I think he has a very good shot for the VP nod. While that may traditionally go to the runner up, I sincerely doubt we will see Obama - Clinton, or vice-versa.

And honestly, I think it could happen with the repubs too. Huckabee hasn’t dropped out yet, but it’s pretty clear it will be McCain or Romney, and similarly, I have a hard time picturing Romney - McCain, and vice versa. *Though* I could see Romney asking McCain moreso than I could see McCain asking Romney, but I have a feeling McCain might turn it down. If McCain gets the nomination, I think there’s a good shot he will pic Huckabee.

I have mixed feelings about Edwards. I don’t know if he’s gotten more liberal, or if the democrats have gotten more conservative, but I remember he came off as much more conservative in 2004. Now, he’s considered the most liberal of the major candidates. I generally agree with most of his major issues this time around. Health care and general social services are hot issues for me.

How am I voting on Tues? I haven’t decided yet. Being registered independent, I can vote for whichever ticket I want. If I go with the Democratic ticket, I will probably vote for Obama. If I go Green, I’ll vote for Nader (again).

Props. No on 91. This is redundant to prop 1A in 2006. Yes on 92. In recent years, higher education has done nothing but gone up, I think it’s time it went down. Once upon a time, all public schools in CA were free. No on 93. Haven’t seen a good argument for it. I don’t know how I am voting on 94-97. It could mean good thing for state finances, as well as the finances for the four big tribes; however, it could easily have a negative impact on the smaller tribes, and I would like to see it be clearer about limiting the environmental impact of the casino expansions, as well as address the issue of casino workers’ rights. I will probably vote “yes”, but it’s an uncomfortable yes. I may just abstain.
